Orthopaedic Acupuncture Course

Complementary therapists including Western and Traditional Acupuncturists and Herbalists, Tuina, Shiatzu and Acupressure therapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractics Physiotherapists, Doctors, Nurses other Health professionals and TCM or Herbal students

Learn how to needle all joints and articulation to treat a large variety of common musculoskelital, traumatic, sports and orthopaedic conditions

Content

The course is specifically designed as an advanced, intensive course for therapists, who wish to broaden their knowledge, further their skills and treatment outcomes.

The emphasis of the course falls on the practical application of acupuncture as a treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal and sports conditions.

The course focuses on correct deep needling of all the articulations, joints and muscle relaxing points within the body

and we also cover simillar applications using Auricular Acupuncture

This is a practical clinical attachment based course, students will also be taught Chinese Pulse, Face, Tongue and Irridology diagnosis and will administer treatment to real patients and other students who attend our subsidised Teaching Clinic

Successful graduates will be awarded a Diploma in Orthopaedic Acupuncture and will be entitled to use the initials Dip OA after thier names and will be accepted as a members of the Acupuncture Society. (annual membership £75 and student and proffessional indemnity cover cover can also be arranged)

Members of the Acupuncture Society, and are entitled to use the initials MAcS OA after their names.

Auricular Acupuncture

4-Month Diploma Course

Each module is will cover point location practice, ear anatomy and clinical treatment application on each other and patients

The course focuses on points and formulas to treat musculoskelital, traumatic, sports and orthopaedic conditions

Content

The emphasis of the course is on the practical application of auricular acupuncture in stress management and treatment of variety of musculoskeletal and sports conditions. - how to accurately locate ear points, and how to effectively needle them.

You will cover basic TCM and acupuncture theory, anatomy of the ear, general concept of auricular therapy, health and safety issues and precautions/contraindications for auricular acupuncture.

Combined Auricular and Body Orthopaedic course with TCM Diagnosis

Both courses can also be done as a combined course of Orthopaedic Auricular and body Acupuncture over 10 contact days for £1500 this also includes traditional TCM diagnosis of Pulse Face Tongue and Eye
