1. What is this course about?
KHM stimulates the body’s correspondence points using techniques including palm and
finger pressure, friction, stretching, stroking, rotation, vibration and tapping.
This treatment can be used successfully in conjunction with other therapies.
This course will give you the opportunity to add to your existing massage skills.
It will enable you to provide your clients with a new technique which will enhance their
treatments.

This course is for qualified therapists or those with equivalent professional/practical experience

- TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) theories
- KHM & KHT theories
- Contraindications, Health & Safety
- Hand Anatomy
- Yin & Yang, 5 elements on the hand
- Body correspondence points on the hand
- KHM technique & practice
- Common treatment points on the hand
- Written exam
- Practical test
4. What can I expect to achieve?
By end of the course you should be able to
- Understand TCM theories
- Explain KHM & KHT theories
- Recognize contraindications and Health & Safety requirements
- Illustrate hand anatomy
- Identify Yin & Yang, 5 elements on the hand
- Illustrate body correspondence points on the hand
- Give KHM to clients
- provide an alternative treatment where necessary
- practice common treatment points on the hand
- Incorporate new technique within your chosen therapy
- Advance existing therapeutic skills to give clients a more satisfying experience

6. Are there any costs or things students need to have ready in advance?
(E.g. exam fee, certification, materials, equipment or books I need to buy before or during the course)
1 white face towel, antiseptic wipes, cooking foil, sticky plaster, color pen or pencil.
7. How will I know I am progressing?
Your progress will be monitored and you will be given regular feed back throughout the day by your tutor
8. Will I have a chance to give my views on the course?
There will be an opportunity for you to evaluate the course towards the end of the day
9. What qualification will I get?
If you successfully finish, you will have CPD Korean Hand Massage Certificate by the College of Chinese Medicine and CPD points accredited by Acupuncture Society.
Also, You will become a member of Acupuncture Society (membership fee is £50/yr)

every 3rd week on Sundays
in October, February, April, June, August

Successful graduates from this course can apply for membership of the Acupuncture Society are entitled to use the abbreviations MAcS KHM after their names the society can also arrange professional indemnity insurance at a very competitive members preferential rate
all members must be insured and log 15 hours of CPD per year (8 hours courses/seminars/workshops and 7 hours home study/research)
