Detailed study of practical Chinese Pulse, Tongue and Facial Diagnosis

Pulse, Tongue Facial diagnosis explained based on Paul's 20 years experiance with

practical pulse taking and Tongue Assesment sessions and explanations of how to

translate pulse, Tongue and facial data into an acurate and reliable assesment of the

patients condition.

Each module will cover Pulse, Tongue and facial signs to focus attention on a particular

syndrome.

Paul explains how the Pulse has 5 levels of depth, these include floating, superficial,

moderate, deep and hidden and how chinese physicians analyse the 29 different classical

pulses by splitting them into 5 catagories of speed, level, condition, energy and volume

many classical texts and modern commentaries focus too much on the exact

manifestations of the pulse in accordance with the pulse classics but in real life many

syndrome and symptoms co-exist together producing complex and pulse patterns which

cannot be read in a rigid academic way also modern times have produced different,

complicated and new symptoms and syndome as a result of modern stress, medication,

recreational drugs, different climatic conditions, polution of environment and food etc

for example the traditional pulse of slippery or smooth is seen in cases of phlegm or damp

retention and also during pregnancy after 3 months the characteristic of this pulse is

smooth forwards and backward feeling but when searching for this pulse you may not find

it as its often combined with a tense pulse which distorts the fowards backward feeling

with a side to side tension this is because the dampness and phlegm often stagnated in the

large intestine is actually an accumulation of post viral mucous and bacteria, this noxious

bacterium aggitates the intestinal mucosa and produces tension which is reflected in the

tense pulse, if the there was colic or abdominal pain a taut pulse may appear which

changes the perception of the pulse yet again

it not sufficient just to study the pulse classics you need an experianced teacher to help

you to analyse and read the data correctly

Tongue and facial diagnosis is used to cross corelate with pulse information and confirm

or reject a diagnostic asumption it is very reliable and and easy to learn.

Paul teaches Tongue and Facial diagnoses in a practical way and explains in clear

traditional Chinese and modern medical terms.

this course will cultivate a clear passage from the diagnostic signs seen the pulse tongue

and face to the ability to formulate your own Patient treatment plans.

The course is run over 20 alternate 2 hours sunday afternoons modules at 1 harley Street

central london
